Product Led Growth (PLG)
Product led growth, or PLG, is sourcing leads for acquisition and growth from a product’s current user base. Typically a PLG-based sales motion would use certain product usage criteria to identify and qualify customer leads for expansion. This may come from free users or free trials, or from existing paying customers who may be ready for an upgrade.
A lead that's created from product usage criteria is often considering a PQL (product qualified lead).
If you offer a free trial or free product tier, and want to learn how to turn more of those free users into paying customers, read this post about PLG lead routing.
